Join us for support, community, brainstorming, and critical connections.
In the fall of 2024, I'll begin facilitating a monthly process and support community for educators who are integrating climate action into their work and teaching. I'll be offering The Climate Circle in partnership with my good friends at AASHE (The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Education). Below are your two access options, fall 2024 meeting dates/times, and the community description.
REQUEST: Small is all! This is a grassroots effort to integrate climate action across higher education, and WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please sign-up and protect these times on your calendar. Please share this website on social media. Please email your friends and colleagues to encourage them to join.
ACCESS to The Climate Circle (OPTION A)
The best way to stay up to date on this group is to create a FREE AASHE membership. This will give you access to several open communities of practice at AASHE which are run on the AASHE website on their respective discussion boards. These let you post, read others' posts, and get automatic email updates.
1. CREATE a free AASHE account here. Follow prompts to create password and enter your info. When complete, select Return to Home.
2. Navigate to the online communities. You'll be asked to-log in again. (Note: you may need to Accept Cookies at bottom left to proceed.)
3. Accept the community agreement.
4. You should now arrive at the AASHE open communities of practice website. This is a great general resource.
5. Select Communities from top menu and then All Communities. Scroll to the Scaling Up Sustainability Across the Curriculum Community and select JOIN.
6. Choose your notification options.
That's it! You'll now be notified of upcoming community events including The Climate Circle.
ACCESS to The Climate Circle (OPTION B)
1. Complete this contact form expressing your interest in joining The Climate Circle.
2. I (Karen Costa) will send you a Google Calendar invite with the Zoom link for the upcoming meetings and add you to my email list for updates.

Feel free to just listen along quietly or there will be opportunities for sharing. You are welcome, just as you are, and wherever you are on your climate education and sustainability journey. This online community is part of one of AASHE's open communities of practice, so we encourage you to invite your friends and colleagues both inside and outside of AASHE. Please help us spread the word. Any questions? Contact Karen Costa.
